Mr. & Mrs. Portillo began Tacos Don Jorge in 1980. They began by just selling tacos from a taco truck, that was set on Washignton and Cattaraugus in Culver City just a block away from where we are now!

We have had the same families come visit us through out the years. Families that have been visiting us since 1980, now are bringing their children and grandchildren. Companies in our area, that have been loyal customers throughout the years, are still with us.

Mr. & Mrs. Portillo had an idea to provide simple fresh affordable food, that everyone can enjoy. That was his idea and that is how we have kept it! Fresh produce that is hand picked daily to make the best quality food available. Sauces made fresh daily from scratch, all of our meats marinated, with our family marinade 24 hours in advance prior to cooking.
